Diving
Most of the area is littered with wrecks from both wars, Liners,
Coasters, Subs and Armed trawlers, some of these are still waiting
to be identified. With most of the wrecks being in the 30 metre
range they are easily explored. There are some good drifts and an
interesting area off Bracklesham Bay where fossil shark teeth can be
found.
Angling
Being a local lad I have been fishing these waters since 1970, I
have good knowledge of the seabed throughout the area and can
normally find the target species. Trojan allows us to get to the
fish fast and with the large shelter deck, dry!!
The Boat
Trojan is 10.4 x 3.8 metres,
with a large shelter deck. Scuba gear is stored on large bench
seats so all you have to do is sit in front of your gear and
strap it on. They
also make a good seat for anglers needing a rest after a big
fish!
Entry to the water is via
a dive platform and the ladder returns you to deck level (no
climbing over the gunwales). There is a loo on the main deck
along with plenty of storage.
She is powered by two
300 hp Caterpillar engines giving 20 knot cruise and top speed
of 28 knots.
Pick Up Point
Pick up is from Haslar
Marina Gosport where there is plenty of parking.
Facilities include
toilets, showers, bars and restaurant.
For divers I have a compressor
on site (air only).
